Rinse quinoa thoroughly, either using a strainer or running fresh water over quinoa in pot and draining. Place quinoa and water in 1 1/2 qt. saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until water is absorbed (10 to 15 minutes). When done, grains will be translucent and outer germ layer will have separated. Use basic quinoa in any of your favorite rice or grain recipes.
