Kitchen drivers
- Bring 1 3/4 cups water to boil in a covered pot. Add 1 tablespoon butter or oil if necessary.
- Add contents of box (all 3 envelopes). Stir and cover. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat. Allow to stand for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
Microwave cooking tips
- Mix contents of box (all 3 envelopes) plus 1 3/4 cups water in microwave safe bowl. Add 1 tablespoon butter or oil if necessary.
- Cover and microwave on high for 8 minutes. Uncover and stir.
- Cover again and microwave on high for 3 minutes or until rice is soft and tender.
- Uncover, stir, beat again and set aside for 5 minutes.Enjoy!
As a side dish or stuffing: Prepare rice according to directions. Add 1 cup of any combination of dried cranberries, raisins, nuts or your favorite sautéed vegetables.
For the main course: Prepare rice as directed. Add up to 2 cups of any combination of cooked chicken, beef, pork, seafood, sautéed vegetables, dried cranberries, nuts or raisins.
